Terms of Use
Last updated: April 2026
spirit.dev is a free booking tool for holistic practitioners — energy healers, tarot readers, yoga teachers, reiki practitioners, psychic mediums, and anyone else who works with clients in this space. It's a passion project built and maintained by one person, not a company. These terms are written in plain language because you deserve to actually understand what you're agreeing to.
A note before you read on: I'm not a lawyer, and this document is not legal advice. If you have questions about your own legal obligations — as a practitioner, as a business, or as it relates to your local laws — please consult a qualified legal professional.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using spirit.dev in any way, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms form the entire agreement between you and me (Claudiu Craciun, the person who built and runs spirit.dev) regarding your use of this platform.
If you're using spirit.dev on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have the authority to agree to these terms on that business's behalf.
2. What spirit.dev is
spirit.dev gives holistic practitioners a booking page where their clients can pick a session, choose a time, and optionally pay. It connects to your Zoom account (for video calls) and your Stripe account (for payments) using OAuth 2.0 — the same secure authorization method used by major apps.
The service is completely free. There are no hidden fees, no premium tiers, no subscription costs, and no plans to charge for using it.
spirit.dev is run as a sole-person project under an SRL (a Romanian limited liability company). It is a passion project, not a startup, not a venture-funded product, and not a business with employees.
3. Account registration and your responsibilities
To use spirit.dev, you'll create an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information about yourself and your services
- Connecting your own Zoom and Stripe accounts — and everything that happens through them
- The content you publish on your booking page (bios, session descriptions, pricing)
- Your clients — including managing disputes, refunds, cancellations, and your obligations to them
- Complying with the laws that apply to your business and location, including any licensing, disclosure, or tax requirements
- Being honest and ethical in how you describe and deliver your services
Please don't share your account with others or use another person's account without their permission.
4. User content
You own the content you create on spirit.dev — your bio, your session descriptions, your pricing, your photos. By posting it on spirit.dev, you grant me a limited, non-exclusive license to display and deliver that content to make the service work (for example, showing your booking page to potential clients).
I won't sell your content, use it in advertising, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
You are responsible for making sure your content:
- Accurately represents what you offer
- Does not infringe on anyone else's intellectual property
- Does not violate these terms or applicable law
5. Prohibited uses
spirit.dev is built for honest practitioners who genuinely want to help their clients. Please don't use it for anything else. The following are not allowed:
- Illegal activity — anything that violates local, national, or international law
- Fraud or deception — misrepresenting your services, qualifications, or identity
- Harassment or abuse — toward clients, other users, or me
- Spam — sending unsolicited messages or using spirit.dev to harvest contact information
- Harmful content — anything that promotes violence, exploitation, or serious harm
- Interference with the service — attempting to hack, overload, or disrupt spirit.dev or its infrastructure
- Impersonation — pretending to be someone you're not, including another practitioner or spirit.dev itself
- Automated access — bots, scrapers, or any automated tool that accesses spirit.dev beyond normal use
Violations may result in immediate account termination.
6. Third-party services (Zoom and Stripe)
spirit.dev connects to Zoom and Stripe through their official OAuth 2.0 authorization systems. This means:
- I never see your Zoom or Stripe passwords. Authorization happens directly between you and those services.
- Payments go directly to your Stripe account. spirit.dev does not process, hold, or touch your money. Stripe handles all payment processing under their own terms and agreements.
- Video calls are hosted on Zoom. spirit.dev creates meeting links through their API, but Zoom handles the actual video infrastructure.
- Your use of Zoom is governed by Zoom's Terms of Service.
- Your use of Stripe is governed by Stripe's Services Agreement.
I am not responsible for outages, policy changes, account suspensions, or any other issues with Zoom or Stripe. If either service has a problem, it may affect spirit.dev — that's outside my control.
7. Intellectual property
spirit.dev's platform — the design, code, branding, and everything I built — belongs to me (Claudiu Craciun). You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the platform without permission.
Your content — your bio, session descriptions, photos, and pricing — belongs to you. I claim no ownership over what you create.
The spirit.dev name and logo are not available for use by others without permission.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
spirit.dev is provided "as is" and "as available" — without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. I do not guarantee:
- That the service will be available at all times or uninterrupted
- That it will be free of bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities
- That it will meet your specific business needs
- That any data will be retained or never lost
This is a one-person passion project. I do my best, but I can't make the same promises a funded company with a team and SLAs could make. Please plan accordingly — especially if you rely on it for critical business functions.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any damages arising from your use of spirit.dev, including but not limited to:
- Lost revenue, lost bookings, or any business losses
- Disputes between you and your clients
- Issues with Zoom, Stripe, or any other third-party service
- Data loss, service interruptions, or downtime
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind
- Anything outside my reasonable control
My total liability to you for any claim, if any, will not exceed the amount you paid to use spirit.dev — which, since the service is free, means zero.
By using spirit.dev, you accept this limitation.
10. Account termination
You can stop using spirit.dev and delete your account at any time.
I reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time, without prior notice, if:
- The account is used for illegal activity
- The account violates these terms
- The account is used in ways that are harmful, abusive, or unethical
- spirit.dev needs to shut down for any reason
If your account is terminated — for any reason — you remain responsible for any outstanding obligations to your clients. That includes refunds, cancellations, and any commitments you've made. spirit.dev is not a party to those relationships.
If I ever need to shut down spirit.dev entirely, I'll provide as much notice as reasonably possible, though I cannot guarantee any specific notice period.
11. Support and bug reports
spirit.dev does not have a customer support team. There is no live chat, no helpdesk, no support email queue, and no phone number. It's just me.
If something is broken, please submit a bug report using the form on the site. I'll get to it as soon as I can — typically within days, not hours. I can't commit to specific response times.
For learning how to use spirit.dev, I'll provide documentation and video guides that explain how everything works. These will grow over time as the product evolves.
Feature requests are welcome, but I can't promise any particular feature will be built, or when.
12. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms as spirit.dev evolves. When I do, I'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, I'll try to give notice through the site itself.
Continued use of spirit.dev after changes to these terms means you accept the updated version. If you don't agree with changes, you should stop using the service and delete your account.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of Romania. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of spirit.dev shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
This doesn't mean I want to fight anyone in court — I don't. But there has to be a legal framework, and Romania is where this project lives.
14. Contact
For bug reports, please use the bug report form on the site. For anything else — questions, feedback, or just to say hello — you can reach me through the social links on the homepage (LinkedIn, Instagram, or X).
I'm one person and I respond when I can. I appreciate patience and kindness.
